Lusterwear ceramic tiles provide the hard, durable wall finish desired by architects, designers and their patrons. For commercial use, artistic lusterwear-tiles compete with marble or conventional commercially-finished tiles in upgrading public spaces, such as lobbies. In domestic settings, these sparkling tiles enhance kitchens, bathrooms, pool and garden areas and fireplaces. Glazed tiles fired in the luster manner using metallic glazes have a magical relationship with light. They are excellent for public spaces or domestic areas -- whatever walls get hard use -- since these tiles neither fade not discolor and are effortless to wipe off or hose down. A lustered-tile wall will reflect iridescent colors and so create a living, glowing surface which changes with each hour of the day. My studio produces custom-designed tiles which develop their lustered elements from an exceptionally broad spectrum of multi-colored glazes. Groups of tiles are individually drawn, "painted" with glaze, and then fired. All the by-the-square-foot motifs can be composed as desired to create varied mosaics. They may also be used as glowing borders around, or sparkling inserts within, a commercial-tile installation. Our unique design are fused onto the highest-quality imported and domestic tile-bodies.
